Meet the Owner

Meet Desmond

With more than 20 years of experience as a Red Seal-endorsed journeyperson plumber and gas-fitter, and over 25 years in the trade, Desmond brings extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to every job.


For Des, though, the work has always been about more than plumbing and heating. Growing up with limited means gave him an understanding of how stressful an unexpected home repair can be for a family. That experience shaped the way he runs Excelsior Mechanical today: with honesty, fair pricing, multiple options, and a genuine desire to help people.


Des believes homeowners should understand their options and feel confident that they’re receiving the right solution at a fair price. His goal is simple: take care of the problem so his customers can get back to focusing on what matters most: their families and their lives.


When he isn’t working, Des enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, serving in his community, and cheering (very enthusiastically!) for the Edmonton Oilers.


For Des, great service means treating every customer and every home with the same care and respect he shows his own family and home.
